Actually Aunt Harriet's subplot did go somewhere. Even if it's not outright stated by the movie, it's implied by her first line she suspects they are the Caped Crusaders and it's even for the reason she gets too close to confirming it that the Batnipped Batman banishes her and calls her a broad. In the end, it's revealed that they were actually setting up a surprise party so her suspicions are confirmed but their identities are not. Since they didn't do much with the idea outside of the criminal side of the plot in the show, it's a welcome change especially compared to the other twists present in this and the next- especially the Batnipped Batman going against his moral code enough to actually harm the criminals he's been outwitting for most of his career in the '66 canon
